Important Notice: F-16 Compliance with EU RoHS Directive
It has been identified that certain components used in Canare Stereo Phone Plug: F-16 may contain phthalate bis (2-ethylhexyl) (DEHP) in amounts exceeding the thresholds stipulated by the EU RoHS Directive.*
*EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU + 2015/863/EU):
This directive restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market.
Since July 22, 2019, the use of DEHP in electrical and electronic equipment has been restricted, and specific threshold values have been applied.
Products: F-16, SPC series, and cable assemblies using F-16
Period: shipped on July 22, 2019 to November 26, 2024
Response:
- Upon identifying this issue through our internal investigation, we immediately suspended the shipment of the affected products and started to manufacture the right products.
- DEHP exceeding the threshold value is contained in an internal component of the product. While there are no issues with the products’ quality, functionality, or performance, and no health risks associated with normal use. We will replace the product upon request.
